Brand New Classroom at Kigarama

New Kigarama Classroom Block

Thanks to a very generous donation from an anonymous donor and support from the children of the Focus School in Biggleswade, England, we have been able to replace the condemned classroom block at Kigarama Primary School with a brand new building on time and almost on budget! In just 5 months we transformed  this building still being used for lessons:

Especial thanks go to to Kasiisi Project/Kibale Forest Schools’ Program director, Emily Otali, for her patience  liaising with the Kigarama School Management Committee, board members, parents and builders. We also thank Harvard alum and volunteer building supervisor, Megan Murdoch, and Kasiisi Project accountant, Amanyire James, who together oversaw procurement and distribution of building materials.
