Kasiisi Schools Celebrate Elephant Pride Day

On July 31st 2018 Kasiisi Project/Kibale Forest Schools’ ProgramWildlife Clubs celebrated Elephant Pride Day. Over 300 children from 16 forest edge schools marched with banners and bands through 9 different villages and trading centers, performing skits, poems and songs about elephants to almost 1600 villagers.

Representatives from the Uganda Wildlife Authority accompanied the children and fielded sometimes fairly cross questions from farmers upset by crop raiding.
